Marketing Journeys: Paths & Possibilities

On November 10th, 2023, TU-AMA hosted its 11th Annual Regional Conference!

This year's theme sought to explore professional marketing journeys, navigating the variety of paths and possibilities.

The event invited students of any major, alumni, and professionals to join TU-AMA for a day of speakers and networking opportunities.

Professional guest speakers from Vanguard, JBL, and Microsoft shared their insights with the guests, and a case competition sponsored by Vanguard created further involvement for collegiate AMA members.

On behalf of TU-AMA, thank you to everyone who joined us. Without your support, our event would not have been possible.

Deb Oberly, Senior Director of Al Sales shared the value of artificial intelligence in leveraging the marketing landscape. Guests were informed on the present status of artificial intelligence technology, and the future of it in both our personal and professional lives. Deb provided informative insights during the Q&A session, further informing guests on the expansive details of AI.

TU-AMA hosted a Q&A panel with Vanguard’s Christa Melotti, Sid Ratna, Brian Leatherberry, Zamira Doar, and Elizabeth Boyce. The panelists discussed their careers and positions at Vanguard, the companies culture, and how Vanguard aided them in growing within their marketing journey. Panelists also offered guests insightful advice, and shared experiential stories within the industry.

Chris Epple, VP of Marketing at JBL joined TU-AMA to discuss the role of effective brand positioning utilizing influencers and successful marketing strategies for product launches. Chris explored the expansive power of cultural currency in marketing, especially when targeting the Gen-Z demographic. During the Q&A session, Chris shared with guests the value of networking for any career, and gifted active participants with JBL products!
