Temple University American Marketing Association (TU-AMA) participated in the annual event Hoot-A-Thon, benefiting the Children's Miracle Network Hospital and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This virtual dance marathon was directly supporting the Child Life Department at CHOP!
This year, TU-AMA raised $5,166, crushing our goal of $5000! The 4-hour event was full of games, prizes, and a whole lot of dancing. Our own TU-AMA members showed off their extraordinary talents, and we participated in a power hour to raise as much as we could! Overall a memorable and rewarding afternoon.
A message from a TU-AMA member and author of this blog post, Sydney Cox:
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia holds a very special place in my heart. CHOP saved my brother's life when he had an aneurysm 16 years ago. From the ICU to learning to walk again, I saw firsthand how impactful the child life department was. A hospital stay can be scary for anyone, especially young children. CHOP's child life team minimized the stress of the ICU, for both my brother and my family.
